Basics Plus Wrestling Camps provides the highest quality wrestling and training instruction
based on sport sciences and insight from the the greatest wrestling minds. At our camps, young wrestlers
learn championship quality techniques and training methods from champion wrestlers and coaches emphasizing
dynamic learning approaches.
A top notch staff of champions from State, National, & International levels of competition has been assembled to work with all campers. Wrestlers will receive personal instruction from from our team of experts, each chosen for their achievements as Olympians, National Champions, and State Champions as well as their ability to relate to young wrestlers.
The Basics Plus System is the most innovative wrestling curriculum available, combining two methods of instruction
and training into a comprehensive cutting edge system. For beginning wrestlers we offer the Basics Camp
which focuses on teaching individual skills and techniques, while improving the overall athleticism to build a strong
foundation for wrestling success. For advanced wrestlers we offer the Plus Camp which goes beyond simple
techniques and teaches wrestling strategies and concepts.
Along with the physical training, wrestlers will be introduced to psycho-performance strategies based
upon the Self Realization Model of sports
performance developed by sport psychologist and camp director, Earl Walker. The Self Realization Model is a sport psychology
approach toward maximizing performance by leveraging an athlete's belief system, motivation, commitment, and perseverance.
